This is a sketch of a wee Jack Russell, I have been sribbling for the past two days. Sketching a white dog really stretches my skills with a pencil, some of my students often ask me “How on earth do you sketch white fur with a dark pencil?” well truth be told, slowly, carefully and use very hard pencils.

The cushion the little fellow is sitting on took about as long as the dog itself. I kept scanning this sketch from start to finish and have a nice collection of images I was thinking of putting into a tutorial
